Arena

This section provides updates on the ongoing development of the facility in preparation for the championship.

Narvikfjellet Allmenn AS is responsible for constructing the sporting infrastructure at the resort, which includes lifts, snow production systems along with associated construction works, slope grading, and permanent installations such as the A-net and lighting. The completion of the sporting section of the arena is scheduled for the fall of 2027.

Facility Development

The Board of Narvikfjellet Allmenn places significant emphasis on the post-use of the investments to ensure the facility also functions as an everyday resort. The goal is for Narvikfjellet, following the expansion, to serve as a venue for all, catering both to families and recreational users, as well as serving as an international sports facility.

Narvik is to become an important venue for various events in the future. Sports activities will be prioritized, including training, children’s races, FIS events, junior championships, World Cup events, and the World Championships. To achieve this, it is essential that the facility is expanded so that events can be held in parallel with the resort’s regular operations.
